Team Lead Inventory - 2nd Shift in Greenwood, Mississippi

The Team Lead will serve as the area Supervisor's assistant and back-up. The Team Lead must possess a thorough knowledge of current processes in the Inventory area and be able to assist other team members as needed to support daily activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Recognize scheduling and/or coverage gaps in all work areas and move team members as needed to meet production requirements and shipping deadlines.
• Arrange systems training for all new hires.
• Identify training opportunities for existing Inventory staff. Work with Supervisor to arrange additional training as needed.
• Assist Supervisor in other work areas as directed.
• Daily duties may include assisting with inventory receiving or other departmental work as needed to support workflow.
• Responsible for generating, interpreting and presenting various departmental reports such as EIF queue and transfer order reports.
• Responsible for overseeing special projects.
• Train personnel on inventory related processes as needed
• Practice 5S and safety
• Must be able to cover any shift to support Supervisor absence
• Take appropriate corrective action for continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction
• React to change effectively and handle other tasks as assigned, including working other shifts as needed. Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate team needs

Skills

• Computer skills required
• Proficient in both AX and High Jump

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
• Requires a high level of attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to lead and interact well with staff members at all levels

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school or GED diploma required

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
• Must be knowledgeable of inventory processes
• Previous leadership experience preferred
