Senior Developer - Robotics Process Automation

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with key business partners to identify, evaluate, define, prioritize, design, develop and test solutions to automate business processes, activities and tasks through robotics process automation software using programming languages and available platforms.
    • Ensure the business requirements are understood and delivered against in each step of the delivery cycle to ensure the solution meets business needs.
    • Document technical designs, release notes, and other project documentation to support development, security, operations, and maintenance.
    • Work on Proof of Concept (PoC) of various new processes.
  • Define and execute on Milwaukee Tool's robotics process automation strategy.
    • Define and execute robotics process automation operating model including intake, SDLC, and reporting to leadership.
  • Mentor and coach junior teammates on best practices and technology solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve overall code quality.
  • Analyzing data to discover trends/patterns.
  • Applying Agile/Scrum methodologies where it fits.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and maintain robotics process automation software including upgrades, new robot installations, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field required and 5 years of development experience required.
  • Experience must include:
    • One or more robotics process automation technologies, such as Kryon, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism
    • HTML, Python, .NET, VBA, JavaScript, SQL Server database and Web Services/APIs
    • Working knowledge of T-SQL
    • Programming including scripting/coding, SQL and relational databases, and application development
    • Process analysis, design, and implementation, business and technical requirements, problem-solving, and system(s) testing, including UAT and bug fixes
    • Program governance and both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Must be willing to work off-hours as development needs require.
