Job Description

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Inventory Control Manager, this position is responsible for providing operational support and for developing, documenting, and executing processes as well as providing training that will assure the continuing accuracy of all inventories.
Discover and identify the root cause of each material inventory variance.
Create and support inventory control methods, policies, and procedures. Develop and implement best practices that will ensure the collection and appropriate dissemination of accurate and detailed inventory reporting.
This position requires strong organizational skills and a stellar attention to detail. In addition, they will lead and participate on Lean initiatives for business process improvements relating to inventory.

KEY TASKS

Leads count approval process for count variances
Investigates inventory location count variances, in collaboration with Cycle Counters, to determine root cause
Collects root cause data for Pareto & monthly reporting
Identifies areas needing improvement and leads initiatives to shore up gaps in processes
Works with the entire organization to lead and develop inventory strategies, continuous, improvement, and to adopt best practices relating to inventory control
Personal development to include continuously updating skills related to materials management and inventory control

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor or Associate Degree preferred with strong accounting and mathematical skills in a business related field. Prefer Supply Chain and/or Distribution Center environment experience.
Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one, in group settings, and with other employees within the organization.
Excellent problem solver without need for frequent supervision.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
Working knowledge of inventory best practices
